Lucia Del Greco

I am an italian director and writer working between Rome and Barcelona.

I studied Literature and Philology at La Sapienza University and I continued my academic career with a PhD in Comparative Literature at Oxford University. After that, I decided to start my career in writing and directing at the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona.

I’ve worked in many theatre plays as a writer and director, and I’m currently a resident artist at Teatre Lliure for the 2023/24 season, while I’m the director selected for the Emerging European Dramaturgy project at the National Theatre of Catalonia in collaboration with the Comédie de Reims, France.

My next theatre project, that will premier at Temporada Alta in 2024, is an adaptation of “Passion Simple” by Annie Ernaux.

I’m currently working on my first short movie, ALTERNATIVE INTIMACY, that focuses on the intersection between some of my main artistic and philosofical interests: love, the emotional anesthesia and the meeting of two different solitudes marked, among other things, by gender difference, through a markedly feminine gaze.
