Joyce Victoria Newrzella

Joyce Victoria Newrzella is a genderfluid film director, activist and multidisciplinary artist from Germany. They have a BA in Theater and Film from Freie University Berlin, then earned an MA in film directing at ESCAC while exploring visual arts and photography. They attended the Locarno Industry Academy and served on the Berlinale Teddy Readers Jury before directing and producing their first short film CRUISING LESBIANA, a docu-fiction exploring queer desire and cruising for FLINTA in Barcelona. In 2025, Joyce received the Queer Leadership Award for MEDIA & CREATIVE INFLUENCE and the Casal Lambda Award for photography.
