Giuliana Racco

I make art that questions identity, in/exclusion and desire, and how these are culturally defined. Through fieldwork, archival research, material production and experimentation, I co-generate new imaginaries and narrations. My works take the form of participatory projects, videos, publications, drawings, text and so on. I have participated in international research and residency programmes in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Luxembourg, Palestine and Israel and my work has been featured in museums and foundations such as Fundació Suñol and Arts Santa Mónica (Barcelona); Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Rijeka (Croatia); Winterthur Fotomuseum (Switzerland); Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Strasbourg and LE CAP Centre d’arts plastiques de Saint-Fons (France); Kulturcentrum Ronneby (Sweden); Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa (Italy); and Frith Street Gallery (London).
